Overview Share on your newsfeed BRTRC, a government contractor specializing in the Department of Defense, is seeking a qualified Technology Transition Coordinator in support of the Department of the Navy (DON), Office of Naval Research (ONR) Rapid Innovation Fund (RIF) program. This full-time position will be located onsite with the Government in San Diego, CA and is contingent on contract award. Responsibilities Provide analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, consider, and assess technologies for maturity, cost, and supportability Assist in identifying and characterizing risks associated with technology transition and technology transfer projects and determining possible steps needed to mitigate the risks Coordinate transition application efforts with appropriate stakeholders, and others who have a critical interest in or decision authority over the proposed transition Assist in conducting business case analysis to verify the value of the proposed technology transition Provide assistance to the ONR RIF Program Manager with reviewing, identifying and assessing emerging requirements, technologies, capabilities, concepts, tactics, and possible teaming relationships in areas related to DON objectives for technology transition and transfer Assist in studies and evaluations to assess technology affordability and develop strategies for technologies for promoting the investment portfolio mix to better drive affordability Provide advice and assistance to SYSCOM and PEO technology transition teams Provide DoN RIF Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) lifecycle support to include coordinating topics; development of the annual DoN RIF Communication, Source Selection Authority (SSA) Appointment Letter, Source Selection Plan (SSP) and briefings to the DoN RIF SSA; review and assessment of white paper submissions; and select and non-select notification process Maintain appropriate records of transition efforts, both successful and unsuccessful, to support overall program evaluations and lessons learned efforts Assist SYSCOM RIF Leads in the development of DoN RIF Success Stories Assist the DoN RIF PM in the review and updates of DoN RIF policy documents Coordinate, draft, compile and prepare staff material, presentations, letters, memorandums, reports, or other documents related to the Program Provide general/overall meeting and conference support as required Qualifications Bachelors degree in a technical field At least 5 years of relevant experience in government defense program and DoD/DoN structure, as well as knowledge of government and industry technology transition best practices At least 6 years of experience in a combination of program support, Fleet or Force Operations, DoN S&T organizations, or technology transition Business expertise to develop and implement methodologies for Business Case Analysis models Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills to efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities Experience working with HQMC, OPNAV, Fleet and Force Organizations a plus Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance; current clearance preferred
