Responsible for account management - internal and external \"go-to\" person for large accounts. Develop, implement, and adjust as needed a business plan for account(s). Lead a cross-functional team which manages all aspects of the relationship with the primary goal of meeting customers needs as a business partner while also meeting Evonik's business objectives. Coordinate and oversee all aspects of customer relationship including sales, marketing, innovation, supply chain management, quality, ESHQ, etc. Develop and maintain key contacts with the customers. Navigate complex matrix organizations both within Evonik and the customers in order to generate results across many reporting channels and functional as. Function as primary support and delegate for the Director of Business Management Americas. Support business managers in other regions working on subsidiaries of the Americas accounts.
Development and implementation of annual, mid and long term strategies for customers as defined by IMPAX work & core teams and in line with customer expectations, market developments and BU/BL targets
Negotiate agreements, grow sales and profitability of the account(s) using frequent customer contact to identify opportunities, manage and enhance relationships and resolve issues. Coordinate strategic meetings at account globally. Joins international meetings when justified.
Lead the internal customer core team through setting and monitoring achievement toward business line sales & earnings targets. Manage resources critical to the success of the business line. Coordinates resource allocation with other functions in the BL.
Communicate and coordinate activities with local and global business line management and other functions to ensure customer strategy is aligned with regional and global strategies of the business line.
Overlook, manage and/or coordinate all financial aspects of the account. Fulfill all reporting and communication requirements within the team and to the BL interfaces.
Function as primary support for other Account Managers in other regions and act as delegate for Director of Business Management Americas
Minimum Bachelor s Degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or similar field.Minimum 10 years professional experience.
Minimum 5 years' progressively increasing experience in management of marketing, sales or technical service group in a specialty chemical product environment.
Should have experience leading cross functional project teams including manufacturing, innovation, marketing, supply chain, etc.
Should have experience navigation at a high level within matrix organizations.
