SoFi is looking for a principal product manager to serve as a Director of Product Management for our Head of Product and to be responsible for assisting in organizing their programs. The successful candidate will manage a large portfolio of Product team's complex projects. This role will work with multiple teams to ensure successful and timely delivery of strategic projects and achieving team's KPI's and our OKR's. The qualified individual will have exceptional communication, organization, and management skills combined with solid conceptual understanding of product management and design.. From day one, you will have an immediate impact on our productivity, streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and communicating objectives between departments. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration.. Responsibilities:. Work as a right hand and extension to the head of product. Take product lead of new incubation and proof of concept Products / features. Manage Product team initiatives and strategic business objectives;. Coordinate and drive effective execution of key projects and initiatives;. Lead scoping and follow up of strategic initiatives across the company. Own agenda and action items of key leadership meetings, hold teams accountable with agreed upon deliverables and ensuring completion of tasks;. Coordinate a set of teams across product management, design and research, and act as a peer to their Directors. Oversee entire team's progress in achieving KPI's and OKR's;. Lead the improvement and process enhancements for the product and design teams.. Facilitate communication and alignment with senior leadership and business partners;. Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications. Act as a proxy of Product team's leadership in selected forums;. Oversee talent development and team growth;. Contribute to vision and strategy of the Product team. Qualifications:. 10 + years of program / product management;. M.B.A. or M.S. in quantitative discipline or B.S./B.A. with equivalent work experience;. Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives. Strong conceptual understanding of product management, design and data capabilities;. Project management experience with emphasis on data science, analytics and data capabilities;. Thorough attention to detail and superior communication skills;. Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with both business and technical/engineering staff;. Executive presence and experience interacting with senior leaders;. Trustworthy with confidential information;. Strong emotional intelligence and ability to diplomatically navigate complex situations;. Desire to work in fast-paced, multitasking, fluid environment with ever-changing priorities;. Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time, with minimum oversight;. Strong organization and execution skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to confidently handle the top responsibility for project completion;. Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.. Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
